The Year of the Great Commission: God’s Factor (Part 2)

In this Year of the Great Commission, we are not only called to go and make disciples, we are invited to walk with what we call God’s Factor.
We become effective witnesses when our lives reflect success, integrity, and Christlike character in the very places God has positioned us whether in the marketplace, campus, ministry, or family. Evangelism is not limited to words; it is validated by a transformed life.
We are people who originate from Heaven and are sent to earth with purpose. Jesus reminds us in Gospel of John 17:13–17 and 3:31 that we belong to a higher reality. While we live on earth, we are not governed solely by earthly systems. We can choose to live according to Heaven’s law, God’s Word above the pressures, limitations, and problems of this world.
In every success story whether personal or organizational there are always two components: our responsibility and God’s intervention. Psalm 84:5 declares that blessed is the one whose strength is in the Lord. Human effort matters, but divine empowerment makes the difference.
When God Becomes Our Strength
According to Psalms 84, when the Lord becomes our strength, three things happen.
1. Victory 🏆
Psalm 84:6–7 describes people passing through the Valley of Baca (the Valley of Weeping) and turning it into a place of springs. The valley represents seasons of tears, crisis, and adversity. Yet when God’s Factor is present, the valley becomes a source of joy and breakthrough.
Throughout Scripture, we see that when challenges arise, God becomes the decisive factor:
In Exodus 23:28–29, when Israel faced the Hittites, Hivites, and Canaanites, the Lord sent hornets ahead of them to drive out their enemies.
In Book of Joshua 10:10–14, God hurled large hailstones from heaven against the Canaanites—more enemies died from the hail than by Israel’s sword.
In Book of Judges 7:19–21, when Gideon and his men blew their trumpets, the Lord caused confusion in the enemy camp, leading them to flee.
In 2 Kings 7:6–7, God made the Aramean army hear the sound of chariots and horses, causing panic and retreat.
In every case, the battle was real but God’s intervention shifted the outcome. When overwhelming problems come, Heaven’s involvement determines the result. ⚡
2. Blessing
Psalm 84 also says that the early rain covers the valley with blessings. What began as a dry and painful place becomes saturated with provision and favor.
This principle reveals something powerful: when we rely on God’s strength, seasons of struggle can become gateways to supernatural blessing. The Great Commission is not sustained by human resources alone; it is sustained by divine provision.
3. Increasing Strength
Psalm 84:7 declares that they go from strength to strength until they appear before God in Zion.
This is progressive empowerment. Walking with God does not drain us, it builds us. Each challenge faced with Him increases resilience, spiritual authority, and maturity. The journey of fulfilling the Great Commission is not about surviving; it is about growing stronger with every step.
Living with God’s Factor in 2026
The Year of the Great Commission is not merely about activity. It is about alignment. When we live according to Heaven’s principles, depend on God’s strength, and partner our obedience with His power, we become unstoppable witnesses.
We are sent from Heaven to earth with purpose. We choose to live above earthly limitations. We take responsibility, but we rely on God’s intervention.
That is God’s Factor.
