As the calendar shifts to 2025, GBI WTC’s Senior Pastor Yonathan Wiryohadi shared a profound message during the Old & New Service, guiding the congregation into a year brimming with divine promise and purpose. Drawing from scripture and prophetic insights, Pastor Yonathan declared 2025 as “The Year of Great Harvest.”

A Double Portion of Grace

The Jewish year 5785, known as Pey Hey, began on October 4, 2024, signifying the dawn of double grace. The repeated number 5 in the year symbolizes the abundant favor and unprecedented opportunities awaiting believers in 2025.

Four Types of Harvest

Pastor Wiryohadi emphasized the multifaceted nature of the great harvest through scripture, outlining four distinct types:

  1. Harvest of Souls

Referencing Matthew 9:36-38, Pastor Wiryohadi reminded the congregation of the church’s mission to reach those who have yet to know Jesus. He encouraged members to embrace the Great Commission (John 4:35-36) in every profession and sphere of influence.

  2. Harvest of the Fruit of the Spirit

The fruits of the Spirit, as described in Galatians 5:22-23, are a critical part of this year’s harvest. Pastor Wiryohadi called on believers to cultivate love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and other virtues, ensuring these spiritual fruits bless those around them.

  3. Harvest of Blessings

Drawing from Deuteronomy 6:6-11 and Proverbs 10:22, he assured the congregation of God’s blessings for those who love and remain faithful to Him. However, he stressed that these blessings often require human effort and alignment with divine principles.

  4. End-Time Harvest

Citing Revelation 14:14-20, Pastor Wiryohadi reflected on the sobering imagery of angels gathering the wicked for judgment. This aspect serves as a reminder of the eternal stakes and the urgency of sharing the Gospel.

The Process of Harvesting

Through Mark 4:26-29, Pastor Wiryohadi described the spiritual dynamics of the harvest. He likened the Kingdom of God to a farmer sowing seeds, often amid darkness and uncertainty.

He posed a challenging yet encouraging question: “What happens when you sow and pray for multiplication, but darkness surrounds you?” His answer was clear—choose to stay with God, trusting His promise of transformation and breakthrough.

Breaking Out of Comfort Zones

Pastor Wiryohadi elaborated that seeds must first break apart to yield fruit. Likewise, believers must leave their comfort zones and allow God to work through their lives for the harvest to manifest.

As GBI WTC embarks on this significant year, the message from Pastor Wiryohadi serves as both a roadmap and a rallying cry. Each member is invited to embrace their role in the great harvest, whether by sharing the Gospel, embodying the fruits of the Spirit, or actively participating in God’s blessings.

With faith and determination, 2025 promises to be a year where the seeds of yesterday transform into the abundant harvest of tomorrow. Let us step boldly into this season, ready to witness and partake in the miracles of God’s great harvest.
